You've Got No Self C o n t r o l
Jacquie Felicity Seleste wandered the walks of the Saturday Market. She was looking for something original. She wanted new jewelry to wear to work that a customer probably wouldn't already have. It was nice to feel original every now and then. She walked slowly, a canvas 'my american heart' shoulder bag hanging loosely off of her shoulder. She let her eyes scan over all the shelves and tables. It was actually a pretty decent day out. For once, it hadn't rained. That was a plus. Especially considering her outfit for the day. She didn't want to be caught in the rain in her current outfit. She paused at a table and smiled, seeing a pair of earrings that would come with a gorgeous necklace that she liked. Jacquie looked at the price and pulled the money out of her pocket, paying for her items and then putting them in her bag.
The small girl wandered a bit longer. She had been here a good chunk of her day. Today was her day off and she was very pleased that it was on a Saturday. She loved the Saturday Market. There were so many cool things that people made. Plus there were outside food vendors. That would come in handy in the next few moments when Jacquie's stomach growled, signaling that it was time for her to stop and get something to eat. She realized how long she had been here and quickly headed for a vendor. She needed to get something to eat. Jacquie stopped at a stand that was selling asian food and ordered a plate of fried rice. She paid for that as well before walking towards the exit.
She took small bites of her fried rice as she stepped around the boundaries of the amazing outdoor market. She looked around a little. Well. She didn't want to go home. So her choices of things to do were as follows; she could, a, go to Starbucks which was only a few yards down the street. She could, b, go to the small art store across the street or, c, go to the park right next to Saturday Market. She picked the last one and walked down the cement paths towards the middle of the park. She watched people run by with their pets or families as she walked towards the swing set. Thats what she wanted to do. Sit on a swing. Jacquie reached the swings and sat down on one of them. She took bites of her food, swinging slowly. Maybe someone would stop by and keep her company.
