Alexandre nodded. He wished he could hear it. He liked British accents. British and French accents were so cool. Anything else sounded funny. He smiled back at her. "Thank you, then." He didn't know how else to respond to that, really. He tossed his bangs out of his face and leaned forward, wrapping his arms around his knees and resting his head on his knees.

Alexandre let his bangs fall over his eyes. He held his smile and buried his head in his knees for a moment. He was in a really good mood today. Alexandre turned his head back and peeked out at her. His cheeks were still slightly flushed for reasons that were unexplained. "So um..." He bit on his lower lip for a moment, debating on whether he should say something about the deafness.

Alexandre smiled a bit. "Lots and lots of practice. I've been deaf for two years now. Lip reading came easy to me I guess..." Alexandre had put so... so much time into perfecting his lip reading. He usually hid his deafness from people to the best of his abilities. Hell, his boss didn't realize he was deaf until he thought Alexandre was ignoring him one day while he was on duty. Alexandre just couldn't hear him. He hated when people treated him differently because of it. But, he didn't want Cheya to think he was ignoring her if she ever tried to get his attention. That wouldn't be fair to her at all.

Alexandre thought for a few moments before shaking his head. It was an unusual answer. Most kids would nod and complain, but Alexandre tried not to complain too much about things that he brought unto himself. His deafness was his own fault. He chose to hit that kid. He didn't show remorse for nearly killing him alexandre saw his deafness as his punishment. "it was at first. I'm big into music so you can imagine how difficult that transition was. But now, I'm just so used to it that it doesn't bug me anymore." it truly didn't. Alexandre had learned to deal with it.
